Q. Why is there so much variation in the price of websites?

A. As with everything you get what you pay for. Spending an afternoon throwing a site together will be cheap, but the results will not be very good. A really well designed website takes a lot of time and costs much more. But it will do its job properly.

Q. I am happy to pay an amount for a website, but cannot see why are there on going costs every year. Is this not just another rip off?

A. A website needs to have its name renewed every year, and there is a cost for hosting the site. The content of the site should be updated regularily for the sake of your customers and to show the search engines that the site is alive and not redundant.
