How to setup identities on Gmail.
In this example the business name is ‘Your Business’
Your domain is ‘www.yourbusiness.com’
Your Website Email is ‘email@example.com’
1. Open your Gmail account in your computer’s browser.
Go to Wheel Symbol top right
From drop down menu choose Settings – a page of options will open.
2. Accounts (4th item in top menu to the right of ‘Settings’)
Choose ‘Send mail as’
Choose ‘Add another email address you own’
In the window that opens
Add Name: Your Business
Email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Choose: ‘Treat as an alias.’
Click ‘Next Step’
You will now need to verify the ‘email@example.com‘ address – you will receive a confirmation email.
3. Under ‘When replying to a message:’
Choose: Reply from the same address to which the message was sent
4. Return to ‘Accounts’ page
Create Contacts for auto-complete (16th item down) – Optional
Choose ‘When I send a message to a new person, add them to Other Contacts
so that I can auto-complete to them next time.’
5. Remain on the ‘Accounts’ page
Signature (the 18th item down) – Optional
In the box add:
Your Business Name:
Your Postal Address if you wish:
Your Telephone Number / s:
